Pa‘ina in Lihu‘e

More than fifty people attended the “Pa’ina with JoAnn” on Monday evening, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Lihu’e Neighborhood Center. The evening was filled with ono food,  ample deserts, nice entertainment, followed by good conversation and fellowship. “Living on this special place, Kaua’i,” JoAnn expressed her gratitude and felt it was the one common feeling shared among  all residents.  This is why she is excited and optimistic about Kauai’s future and feels she can contribute by working on behalf of the people of Kaua’i.   A slide presentation of  “Zero Waste: From Trash to Cash” focused on the solid waste issue on Kaua’i. JoAnn emphasized how we should re-think this  problem with possibilities, so that waste is not just considered waste, but a resource that could be recycled and reused as an economic benefit.
